About Eventably

Eventably is an innovative events management and ticketing platform tailored to meet the diverse needs of conferences, conventions, trade shows, community events, and performing arts events. Our platform is designed to support in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, providing event organizers with the tools they need to create seamless and engaging experiences for their audiences.

We are on a mission to capture a share of the $20B Total Addressable Market (TAM) in the events management and ticketing space, with a Specific Obtainable Market (SOM) goal of $55M. With a planned launch in March 2025, Eventably is currently bootstrapped and funded through a loan from the CEO. We are also exploring options for additional funding, with a focus on VC funding post-launch.

Role Overview

We are seeking a pragmatic and savvy all-around Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing efforts and help CRO drive the growth of our brand as the go-to ticketing platform that serves and is built with all customers in mind. The CMO will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies primarily B2B as our customers are organizers & venues for live events. Furthermore, Eventably wants to connect core audiences through marketing efforts to drive organic engagements, amplify our mission, and position us as a leader in inclusive event experiences. This role is focused on developing a deep understanding of accessibility, a passion for inclusivity, and the ability to build meaningful connections with diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and business goals.
    • Execute on main three pillars: Owned, Earned, and Paid.
  • Brand Development:
    • Elevate our brand as the leading ticketing platform for customers concerned with inclusivity.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with accessibility advocates, organizations, and influencers.
  • Customer-Centric Marketing:
    • Develop targeted campaigns to engage B2B customers throughout the sales funnel.
    • Leverage customer feedback to continuously improve our marketing approach and customer experience.
  • Digital Marketing & Technology: Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content marketing. Utilize data analytics to measure campaign performance, optimize strategies, and drive ROI.
  • Partnerships & Collaborations:
    • Forge strategic partnerships with event organizers, venues, and accessibility organizations to expand our reach and impact.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing efforts align with sales, product development, and customer support initiatives.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation within Eventably.
    • In the future: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team that is passionate about inclusivity and accessibility.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with 5+ years in an ownership role.
  • Robust skillset of utilizing AI tools.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and copywriting skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies, particularly for niche or underserved markets.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, analytics, and emerging marketing technologies.
  • Experience working in the events, ticketing, or entertainment industry is a plus.

Compensation

This is a co-founder role for a bootstrapped company. We use the Slicing Pie Methodology for allocating equity split. The CMO role will have a compensation basis of $200k. Post-revenue compensation will use that compensation target.
